September 7, Fineko/abc.az. A new subsidy for milk production will be introduced in Azerbaijan. The decision was made by the Agricultural Subsidy Council in order to increase milk production, improve the supply of local raw materials to dairy processing enterprises and improve accounting in this area.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, a subsidy of 7 gapiks per liter (or 70 manats per ton) will be paid for chilled raw milk delivered to dairy processing plants or milk collection points registered in the Electronic Information System of Agriculture (EKTIS) as suppliers,

The amount of the subsidy for milk delivered through cooperatives will be additionally increased by 20%.

The subsidy will be provided on condition that the data is declared in EKTIS, the animals are identified, insurance is available, the milk is cooled and the established quality requirements are met.
